2008-09 Winter Land Training

(November 2008 - February 2009)

Winter land training is conducted to help rowers and coxswains get into shape for the upcoming Spring season.  Workouts (running, weight training, calisthenics, and ergometer work) are after school at Robinson.  All rowers not participating in a winter sport are strongly encouraged to participate in land training.

BOYS

Novice Tues, Dec. 2 Tues, Wed, Thurs:  4:00pm-5:45pm. Boys meet at 4:00pm at the erg sheds (outside the gym at the end of the tennis courts).
Experienced Mon, Nov. 10 Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs: 4:00pm-5:45pm.
Sat:  9:30am-11:30am.

GIRLS

Novice Tues, Dec. 2 Tues, Wed, Thurs:  5:30pm-7:15pm. Girls meet at 5:30pm inside the main entrance doors to the school.
Experienced Mon, Nov. 10 Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs:  5:30pm-7:15pm.
Sat:  9:30am-11:30am.
++ All winter training takes place at Robinson.  If weather permits, some training may take place outdoors.  Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing.
11.25.08   Study Hall UPDATE:   Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 2, Robinson crew is piloting a study hall program to assist rowers with after school winter conditioning practices.  If successful, this will transition to spring training practices, as well.  During winter training, the study hall will be available 3 days per week, Tues.-Thurs. from ~2:05pm-3:55pm, prior to the start of the boys practice at 4:00pm.  Click HERE for additional information.
