(05.04.08) Yard Sale update –
Now that the Plant Sale has successfully run, it is time to turn back to that spring cleaning you’ve been promising yourself you’d do. The Robinson Crew yard sale is only 2 weeks away. It will be on May 17th from 8am – 2pm at 4918 Gadsen Drive, 3 blocks from Robinson. You can drop off donations any day from now until May 16th from 7am – 9pm at 4918 Gadsen Drive in Fairfax. The screened porch room in the back of the house is left open for you to place your donations there.
It will really help to make this fundraiser a success if you can drop off your materials within the next week or so. I need to place ads in Craigslist and the local newspaper starting tomorrow. It helps to list specific items we will have so people have an idea of what will be here. There isn’t a donation that is too small or too large. We are asking that large items like sofas or mattresses wait until 2-3 days before the event, but otherwise, please begin bringing your things as soon as you can so I can list them on craiglist and begin pricing. It will also help me to know how many volunteers I’ll need that day. Just make sure the donations are clean and in good working order.
Some donations people have said they will bring: a love seat, kitchen table and chairs, air hockey table, framed posters, telescope, clothing, books, kitchen items. We are in need of several large tables to lay items on and hanging units we can hang suits, dresses, and some coats. If you have any you can loan us for the day, please drop it off by Friday evening, May 16th.
