(Download)

The latest points totals reflect points earned from Mar. 1, 2011 through February 10, 2012. This includes points earned through January 2012 for study hall, bridal show, and letter writing; coordinator points for letter writing, on-line scrip, on-hand scrip, spiritwear coordinator, spiritwear assistant and magnet sales. Points for Tag Day will not be awarded until both of the Tag Days are completed.

How to Read the Points Report

The totals show returning athletes first, followed by novices. Athlete names have been removed for privacy. Each athlete is identified in the totals using the first initial of the last name followed by the athlete's birth date in the format DDMMYY. Twins are identified by first initial.

If You Have a Question about Points

If the points shown do not match your records, please contact the person responsible for the event, not the points coordinator. Requests for points corrections must be initiated by the event coordinator and must be approved by the governing vice president, who will notify the points coordinator.

How to Reach the Goal

In order to reach the required points for the year, the following guidelines are suggested for athletes and their families:

Policy

  1. Novices are required to earn 25 points per season, and all other athletes are required to earn 75 points per season. Points for the season are measured from March 1 of the previous school year through the last day of February in the current school year. (For the 2011-2012 season, the point earning season lasts from March 1, 2011 to February 29, 2012.) Points earned on March 1 and after will be applied to the next season.
  2. It is the responsibility of the event coordinator to notify the responsible vice president in writing (using a spreadsheet) within two weeks of the event identifying the workers, points earned and athlete receiving the points. Event coordinators are required to send their event points spreadsheets to the responsible vice president no later than the third week of each month, unless the two-week window prevents this. The vice president is required to send the approved spreadsheet to the points coordinator by the end of the month. The points coordinator is required to publish the points the second week of the month.
  3. Points will be awarded based on the athlete and family's participation in booster-approved activities.
  4. Each athlete and family must participate in the necessary activities to accumulate the required points in the specified period. In the event a athlete does not earn sufficient points by the deadline, the additional points must be purchased for $10 per point. The athlete will be ineligible to participate in any crew activities including practice after the deadline until the points deficiency is funded.
  5. Awarded points cannot be transferred except between siblings.
  6. At the discretion of the Board, excess points beyond the specified requirement at the deadline date can be used to reduce the cost of away regatta fees at a rate of one point per dollar fee reduction. For example, a returning athlete with 82 points on the last day of February will receive a credit of $7 off away regatta fees.
  7. All points earned after the deadline by underclassmen will be applied to next season.
  8. Points will only be credited after they are earned. Points will be awarded to coordinators and participants per the published schedule (shown below).
