Robinson Crew Registration Instructions (2011-2012) Download

Step 1. Register Online

To be a member of Robinson Crew for the 2011-2012 season, you must register online using the link provided below:

To register a returning rower: www.roninregistration.com/?_rtu=6111112147
To register a novice rower: www.roninregistration.com/?_rtu=6111112148

The online registration system will guide you as you set up a user ID and password, provide registration information, pay fees or set up scheduled payments, and sign up for text message notifications.

Registration fees (and uniform fees for novices) must be paid through the online registration system, either at the time of registration or using a payment plan. The registration and uniform fees and deadlines are as follows:

$450 Registration Fee: Pay in full at registration, or pay 50% at registration and schedule payment of 50% on 1/14/12.
$105 Uniform Fee (novices only): Pay at registration or schedule payment on 12/1/11.

Step 2. Complete Registration Forms

These forms are available at www.robinsoncrew.com/registration_forms.html. You must complete, print and sign these forms:

Emergency Care Information (3 copies needed)
Field Trip Driver’s License and Vehicle Insurance Information
Parental Authorization and Acknowledgement of Risk for Field Trip
Robinson Secondary Parental Authorization and Acknowledgement of Risk
Fairfax County Public Schools Participation Policy

Step 3. Submit Registration Forms and Pay Booster Fee

If you register after the October 19 deadline, mail the signed forms (see Step 2, above) and $85/family booster fee (make check payable to RCBC) to:

No athlete will be allowed to participate in land training, on-the-water training, or other activities until all required fees are paid.

October 28, 2011 - Sports Physical Form Due

A Virginia Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Physical Examination Form ("sports physical form") must be completed and filed for each athlete.

The completed form must be filed with Edna Clark in the Robinson Athletics office, located next to the gym at the end of the ramp near the main entrance to Russell Theater.

The physical must be dated after May 1, 2011.
A new physical is not required if one has been previously submitted for current school year.
Write "CREW" on the top of the form.
Keep a copy of the form for your records.
If your child needs to have the physical done after October 29 due to insurance restrictions, please contact Tina Van Leer at vpmembership@robinsoncrew.com.

No athlete will be allowed to participate in practice if this form is not on file with the school.

February 28, 2012 - Points Deadline

Robinson Crew is a club sport and receives no funding from Fairfax County. RCBC established the points system to promote equal contributions from all families through fundraising and volunteering.

The deadline to earn points for the 2011-2012 season is February 28, 2012.
On or before the deadline, every rower must earn the points required for the year: 25 points for novices or 75 points for returning rowers.

If required points are not earned by the deadline, points must be purchased, and the athlete is not allowed to participate until the points are paid in full.

February 2012 - Swim Test (Novices Only)

Before practicing on the water, all novices are required to pass a swim test, which will be scheduled in February at date to be announced later.
